The Job
Our Industrial Services team carried out a specialist furnace clean at a glass production facility in Hull. The project involved removing excess glass waste from the top of a furnace, where temperatures reached an extreme 149.5°C.
The build-up of glass waste needed to be removed safely and efficiently to maintain the production environment and allow operations to continue without unnecessary disruption. Working in such high temperatures presented additional challenges, requiring careful planning, specialist equipment and a strong focus on safety throughout the job.
Our Solution
Wastege deployed a three-person Industrial Services team equipped with an industrial vacuum to remove the excess glass waste from the furnace area.
The team worked carefully in the extreme temperatures, using specialist vacuum equipment to clear the accumulated glass and ensure the area was cleaned to a high standard. The work was carried out efficiently, with safety remaining a priority throughout the process.
The project was successfully completed over two days, leaving the furnace area clean and allowing production to continue. Our team once again demonstrated their expertise in delivering specialist industrial cleaning services in challenging working conditions.
