Wastege complete a High Pressure Jet Washing job in Boston
The Job
Wastege was commissioned to carry out specialist oil and sludge removal at an NHS hospital site in Boston. The project involved clearing a bunded area that had accumulated oil, sludge and other materials, which needed to be removed to prevent potential overflows and ensure the area remained safe and operational.
As Wastege undertakes this work at regular intervals throughout the year, maintaining the bund in good condition was essential to the site’s ongoing maintenance and safety. The job required a thorough clean to remove the build-up and restore the area to full working order, with the work completed to a high standard within the agreed deadline.
Our Solution
Our Industrial Services team attended site and worked over five days to remove the accumulated oil and sludge from the bunded area. Using specialist high-pressure jetting equipment, alongside shovels and brushes, our team tackled the build-up and thoroughly cleaned the affected surfaces.
The work required considerable time and effort, with our highly trained staff working diligently throughout the week to ensure the clean-up was completed efficiently and safely. All removed material was managed appropriately as part of the clearance process.
The project was successfully completed within the required timeframe, leaving the bund clean and restored to full working order. By removing the accumulated oil and sludge, Wastege helped reduce the risk of overflows and supported the hospital in maintaining a clean, safe and functional site. Regular visits help keep the area under control throughout the year.
