3M face a $2.8 million for hazardous waste infringement.
3M have been fined $2.8 million following a two-year investigation into their waste evaluation, labelling, storage and handling.
Hazardous waste regulators' two-year investigation concluded that 3M have repeatedly misidentified hazardous waste, failed to verify levels of hazardous materials in waste streams and stored hazardous waste in unapproved areas since 1996.
The company's non-compliance has led to a $2.8 million fine and two dozen corrections to bring the facility into compliance with hazardous waste legislation.
Ensure your business is being waste compliant to avoid major fines.
